baby maybe someday
November 06, 2003 Enablers, nookie, and Finding Nemo

Heya party people. This is going to be one of those entries that reviewers hate, but thats okay, because damn the man.

I left Dallas today at 7 AM. I thought, "I'll leave 4 hours early, and then I'll have an hour to do whatever when I get back to Austin at 10! It'll be so efficient of me!" Actually, I left Dallas (Plano, actually) at 7, got McDonalds, and then got caught in the worst clusterfuck of traffic known to man. I made some stupid judgements, and I knew I was going to end up late for work.

I was late for work. 30 minutes late, to be exact. But I called about an hour before they opened and let them know, and they were totally cool about it. My manager said that normally he would write someone up for that, but since I called, it was all groovetacular. Since I'm trying to avoid being fired for the third time in a year, that's good.

Tomorrow is pay day! Woohoo.

As for actually being in Plano, it was pretty cool. Nookie was had 3 times in about 15 hours, which is pretty awesome considering that Matt is practically an old man, being 25 years old and everything. He's not quite like he used to be with that kind of thing, but it's all good. I had my orgasms, I'm not complaining.

The rest of the stuff was okay. I'm not going to lie here.. honestly, I was feeling a little weird about the whole thing. I'm always attracted to him, no matter what. But he has gained a little weight. And he had this gigantic pimple between his eyes. And he hadn't shaved for like.. weeks, it seemed. That was a bit of a turn off.

The whole shaving thing bothers me because back in December, when we hung out a few times but he had The Girl waiting in the wings, he was all anti-shaving while hanging out with me but said when The Girl got back from her 2 week trip to see family he'd shave again. He never shaves for me. That really annoys me. It shows that he doesn't think he has to work to impress me at all. And yeah, that might be true. But it would be nice if he could put some effort into these things, especially when he knows I'm not into the furry face thing. I trimmed special areas for him, he could do the same.

That was a stupid rant, but I had to get it out. Thank you.

I guess you can kinda say the honeymoon is over on the whole "Oooh we're back together!" kinda thing. But like I've said, the trip to Vegas will really be the best judge of that. I'm scared.

And also, I think one of the reasons why we have a bond between is because we're enablers. We have both found in each other people who really like to eat. Eat really bad stuff, at that. We don't call each other on it. We just get massive amounts of food, stuff ourselves until our stomachs are at full capacity, and then just kinda grin at each other like we're carniverous monkeys who are allowed to eat whatever we want. That's not good! But it's what we do. We didn't do it when he was on his diet, but woah, he's way off his diet these days. To prove this fact, we got massive amounds of Queso Fundio last night at On the Border. Damn, that shiznit is good shit.

We watched a couple of shows on TIVO and went clothes shopping for him. He did a radio show while I went to bed. It was fun. I enjoyed spending time with him, and I enjoyed the nookie. I really loved the weather, and I'm fantastically happy that it spread to Austin. It's only 50 degress right now! Yay!

I also got to hang out a little with the silly puppy Bailey. She's 6 months old now. Her teeth are crazy sharp, and she likes to kinda grab on to your wrist and try to rip it off. It hurts.

Enough about Matt. Really. Seriously. More about work!

I volunteered to take the 11-2 shift tomorrow even though I'm already working from 5-close. I took it for 2 reasons. One, because the person who asked is a shift manager and I don't really feel like she likes me too much, so I was completely and fully kissing her ass. Two, because if I work the full 3 hours, that's $21.75 towards money I can spend it Vegas. That's a 4 rounds of $5 blackjack! That's 21 rounds of $1 blackjack! That's a tank of gas! It seems like 3 hours of putting refried beans and cheese on a tortilla is worth all that.

So yeah. Lots of working tomorrow.

Here's the part where I tell you what a money spending beyotch I am.

First of all, I spent an hour tonight just returning all the movies I've rented in the past week. I had 4 movies out at each place, and there was 4 places. That's 16 movies, people. Half of them were porn, and yes, I am ashamed to admit that. It's a little sad, really, but that's what I do.

I also went to Barnes and Noble and got the new Sarah McLachlan CD and the new FHM and the book Fear of Flying by Erica Jong. I'm listening to the CD right now. It's purty! I like me some Sarah, yes siree.

I also went to Blockbuster and rented The American President and got my copy of Finding Nemo that I bought a few weeks ago. I would watch those tonight but I really should get to doing some Nano tonight. I'm not in a Nano mood, but I'm sure I will be once I get started. I haven't even made it past the 10,000 word point yet and it's almost been a week. That's just sad, and not right.

Also! I went to Lane Bryant. I got there at 8:30 and the store closed at 9, and I had a coupon for $50 off a $150 purchase, so I had to haul some ass and spend a lot of money in just a 30 minute time span. But I did it. Because I'm a woman, and that's what we're genetically programmed to do.

But check it out! The original total was something like $275 or so, but I had a million coupons, and the chick who was helping said that if I opened a new account I could save 20%. I don't normally fall for the whole credit card thing because I already owe about $1500 due to past indiscretions, but she said if I did that I could pay it right away and we could all be sneaky like that together.

So I did that, and only ended up paying about $135 for all my stuff. Yay for sales!

And the chick who works there, when I came in, asked me if I had a charge card yet, and I was like, "Nope!" She was like, "But I thought I've seen you in here before!" And I was like, "Well, we were both in the same group for that group interview!" And she was like "Oh!" And I was like "Yeah, for the job that you got and I didn't, beyotch!" But I didn't add that, because she was nice, and that would have been quite mean and such.

And happy birthday to my mommy, who is 58 years old today. Yay!

It seems like this was a very math-intensive entry today. Lots of math involved! Fun, right?!

I'm out.

"What did he look like? Italian, with long curly black hair. There was nothing wrong with this man. The person I can compare him to is the russian dude's son in The Saint. I know that's a weird example, but that's what I thought of first. He was.. the perfect man. I kept staring at him all night, I imagined how our wedding would be and what our kids would look like and all that crap!"
